Evaluation of Silent Reflux Using 24-Hour pH Monitoring

Over 30% of patients with reflux suffer from so-called silent reflux. This can manifest as chronic throat symptoms (e.g., frequent throat clearing, burning sensation in the throat, etc.).

To investigate these complaints, we offer a 24-hour measurement of the pH value in the throat. In our practice, a very thin probe is inserted and placed in the throat through the nose. The pH value in the throat is then measured over the next 24 to 48 hours at home using a Bluetooth recorder. After the probe is removed and the device is returned, the data will be evaluated, and a therapy proposal will be developed with you.
